The Hundred Dresses
By: Eleanor Estes
Book Blurb by: Christie
Fiction
This story takes place in a small town in Boggins Heights, Poland. It also takes place at the main character, Wanda’s school. Have you ever been teased at school, or lived in poverty? Well that is all Wanda has ever known. However, if you want to learn Wanda’s special secret then you will have to read this heart warming book to find the special talent that she keeps hidden beneath her soul from all that are closest to her. It kept me interested because of all the emotion and feeling words that Wanda felt. I can relate to Wanda because she is such a confident person and was always willing to help her friends even though they were mean to her at times. I enjoyed reading about the relationship that Wanda had with her friends. It was always interesting to see how she was going to handle each situation. I think anyone would like reading this book because it has  positive messages about life and good lessons to learn.

Book: Madam C.J. Walker

Burbled By: Christina  W.

Madam C.J. Walker was originally named Sarah Breedlove before she got married. She got married when she was 14 yrs. old. This book is a biography about her life as an African-American woman growing up in the late 1800’s.

Madam’s hair fell out because she didn’t have a proper healthy diet. This is what made her get into the hair product business. She made her own products and sold them everywhere. I like this book because it shows how one woman can make a big difference in so many other peoples lives. I would recommend this book to any one who wants to learn about hair products that can save your heads life and learn about a true hero. I like this book because it has a lot of detail about her products

The Tail of Emily Windsnap

The Tail Of Emily Windsnap

Author:  Liz Kessler

Blurb by:  Christina W.

Emily Windsnap was a mermaid. She was the daughter of a human mom and a merman dad. Her dad was put in jail because  there was a law against merpeople  marrying humans. Some merpeople had the power to make memory wipes, which was a way they made people lose their memories. That was done to Emily’s mom, so she would forget about her dad. But Emily’s mom still had memories of her dad. Emily tried to break into the prison to find her father. She found him, but he turned her away because he was afraid that the guards would see her. As she returned home, she was followed  by prison guards who captured her and her mother and took them back for a trial before Neptune who was the ruler of the sea. Emily talked about how much his father loved his mother at their trial. Neptune decided that he couldn’t keep any of them in jail because they all loved each other so he freed them all. I liked the book because it had a lot of adventure and excitement.

October Encore Project

The project was fun because we got to use cool musical affects and got to use so many different things. We also used new websites that were able to help make new music more scary. One thing we got to use was called ( Glass Bottle ) Mardi Gras Beads. The beads made our music seem very, very, very scary I loved working with my friend Marina she and I worked together very well we did an awesome gob we both think.
