In this graph it shows the height of students (in inches) in my class. The shape of the graph is in a bell shape. The most common student height is 60-62 inches. The tallest person was 68 inches; the shortest was 54 inches. It is interesting to note that there were fewer people of a very tall height than there were of those of shorter height. My height is 64 inches. I am in the 2nd to last row of data because I am taller than most of my classmates.

As a concluding activity for our study of the Scientific Method, students worked through a variety of bacteria investigations. Students were provided a lab template which provided them with a six-step outline of the scientific method for problem solving. Using those steps and sterile nutrient agar plates, students collected bacteria in an attempt to answer their original question. Bacterial growth was documented through qualitative and quantitative observations as well as digital photographs. The following lab report is this student's attempt at a bacterial investigation. (Mr. Peter Ogden: Sixth Grade Science Teacher)

*This is my first writing piece of the 2010-2011 school year. It has not been edited.

Dear Parents,

In Sixth Grade I’m looking forward to being able to do the C.S.I unit in science. I’m also looking forward to the flight simulation unit in tech. I’m looking forward to the C.S.I because I think that fingers prints and stuff are cool and fun. I’m looking forward to the flight simulation because I like the idea of flying planes. As you can see there are a lot of cool things at Marie Murphy. That is what I’m looking forward to in Marie Murphy.

While you are here I want you to see my social studies room, which is right next to the English room to the right. I also want you see the science lab. Which is to the left of the English room. I also want you to see the French room. The way there is when you are walking towards the 6th grade hallway don’t turn and keep going straight. It is at the end to the left.

A couple of goals I have set for this year are finishing my homework on time and also to not be late for any classes. A way I can help those goals come true are to do homework the second I walk in the door at home. Another way is to bring books to the next class I have. Also another way is to do homework before I do anything else. Another way is to not mess around in the hallways just go straight to the next class. Those are some ways that can help me accomplish my goals.

I hope you guys had a fun time at my school. Also I hope that you liked all of my teachers I think that you will because I do. See you tonight.

Love,

George

The book Bran Hambrick was about a boy named bran who has a family that mysteriously found him in a money vault of the bank in dunce town. His entire family treats him like he is the maid and they all call him the accident because they found him by accident. One day they here a burglar at the door and they go on the roof to wait for him to come back when he does show up eventually he turns out to be some sort of a monster and it's name is shambles. One day bran is walking around the neighborhood and his neighbor said that he found a note that was torn but it had his name on it. when bran goes up to his room to examine the note he notices the writing and the note is the same as his note that was also torn from his Birth mother. I enjoyed this book because it was full of action and mystery and you had to figure out some of the different parts of it and I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a good thriller.

The book The Edge Chronicles: Vox was about a librarian knight (Someone who fights for the write to learn about creatures and the wild life around them) named rook that one day is flying on his trustee skycraft named the stormhornet. And suddenly the wind picks up and sends him and the stormhornet plummeting to the ground. When he wakes up from the terrible crash, he realizes that he has landed in the one place no one person wants to be, the stone graveyard. Also its not just the place that’s dangerous its the things that live in it things like trouble ghouls, wild prowlgrins, and muglumps. So rook has to battle through alone until he finds a way out. I enjoyed this book because it has fantasy and action, which is what I look for in a book. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good action thriller like this.
