Welcome to the life of Stanley Yelnats you may notice that his last name is his first name backwards. But that is not the point. The point  is he is shipped to Camp Green Lake. But when he gets there. There is no green or lake. Just a desert, but people say back then that it was green and there was a lake. Stanley gets off the bus and finds out that there is one thing you do every day dig a hole that is five feet deep and five feet wide. As he stays longer he gets used to it, gets a nickname like every one else. There is Armpit, Zigzag, X-ray, Zero, Magnet, and Squid. Stanley then goes on a dangerous path that turns in to a lucky one. Also, after your done with this go on to his sequel Small Steps.

Chapter 1-Jesse Oliver Aarons Jr.- Confident, Determined-

I chose these emotions because he wants to be the fastest runner in the fifth grade so he practices and practices.

Chapter 2-Leslie Burke-Self Minded-

I chose this emotion because he doesn’t really care for anyone the whole chapter.

Chapter 3-The Fastest Kid In the Fifth Grade-Sad, Furious-

I wrote these emotions because at the ending of the chapter he was mad because he wasn’t the fastest kid in the fifth grade.

Chapter 4-Rulers Of Terabithia-Joyful, Happy-
I chose this emotion because he is glad what Leslie and him found. Also what they built.

Chapter 5-the Rulers Of Terabithia-Happy, Joyful, Glad-

I chose these emotions because Jess is glad that Janice Avery had “a taste of her own medicine”.

Chapter 6-The Coming Of Prince Terrien-Generous, Proud-

Jess is feeling this emotion because he gave Leslie a dog and he is proud of it.

Chapter 7-The Golden Room-Joyful, Angry-

I put two of the opposite feelings because he firsts helps paint a room and had fun. Then he went to Terabithia where they are happy all the time. Then I put angry because May Belle followed them to Terabitha, which made Jess angry.

Chapter 8-Easter-Happy, Surprised-

Jess is happy because Leslie came with his family on Easter to church. But is also surprised because Leslie doesn’t really believe in God.

Chapter 9-The Evil Spell-Unsure, Hopeful-

I put unsure because he is unsure to go to Terabithia in the beginning. Then I put hopeful because Jess really wanted to go to Terabithia the next day.

Chapter 10-The Perfect Day-Excited, Glad, Happy-

I put these feelings because Jess is really happy to go to a museum with his favorite teacher Miss Edmunds.

Chapter 11-No!-Confused, Hurt-

I put these emotions because he doesn’t know to believe them or not. Then I put hurt because Leslie was like his only friend.

Chapter 12-Stranded-Sad, overprotective-

I put these emotions because he is worrying what Leslie should wear when she is buried.

Chapter 13-Building The Bridge-Proud, Delighted-I put these emotions for Jess because when he built the bridge he was proud of it. When he made May Belle the queen he was delighted.
