Title: Holes
Author: Louis Sachar
Blurber: Jonathan
Genre: Realistic Fiction
Stanley Yelnats never intended to become a criminal. In fact he isn’t one. He was just walking home when the shoes fell into his hands. Of course these are the shoes of a famous baseball player, they were to go on auction and the money was go to homeless people. Of course the police didn’t believe him and that is how he ended up at Camp Green Lake. The one interesting twist about the camp, there is no lake you just dig holes where the lake used to be. Of course Stanley knows who is to blame, his “no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing great-great-grandfather who has passed a curse throw his family’s generations. Of course when he goes Stanley gets some weird roommates and weird just about everything else. Will Stanley ever be uncharged guilty? Read this book to find out.
Stanley’s family was always poor so prison is just another step or is it? There is a lot of back breaking work at the camp, will Stanley survive? I rate this book 10 out of 10 and think it is for people who like a suspense filled filled book.
