Do you want to know how the Chinese got money when they were super poor? This book took place in the middle of China and America (the Chinese called it the golden mountains because of how much money you got if you worked there even if you were a servant). I liked how the author made the book very detailed from point to point. I would not recommend this book because it has a question at the start of every chapter, which technically gives away the rest of the chapter.
I would recommend this to a friend because it has a story that kind of is the daily basis in our lives, go to school, work, sleep and so on. My favorite character was Big Wort because he shows that it is very easy to fail and then you have to go back to China. The main character changes from stuttering a lot because he is very nervous to becoming more courageous. ✮✮✮☆☆
