Fiction Book Report

Mr. Poppers Penguins  by: Richard and Florence Atwater

Mr, Popper was a seasonal painter who always dreamed of being a scientist in Antarctica. One day Admiral Drake sent Mr. Popper a penguin. Through time Mr. Popper was taking care of twelve penguins and with costs getting out of hand Mr. Poppers family began doing circus shows with the penguins. Eventually Mr. Popper fulfilled his dream by joining Admiral Drake as a scientist in the North Pole to relocate penguins there.

I would recommend this book because it encourages you to follow your dreams even if they are unrealistic. I would also recommend this book to a friend because like the first penguin he needed a friend or he would’ve died.

  1. I love how in the ending of this book his dream came true:) Even though everyone thought his dreams were unrealistic and that he was wasting time reading all those book on penquins and Antartica he kept on doing what he loved!!!
