Non-Fiction Book Report

Hoaxes by: Judith Herbst

This book details 5 unbelievable tales that most people assumed to be true that turned out to be hoaxes. Even scientists fell for it. In one story people believed that fairies played in a garden because Sherlock Homes said so. It turned out to be that the author of Sherlock Holmes said it not Sherlock Holmes. In other hoaxes wrote about in this book people made up stories to profit themselves.

I would recommend this book so people can learn not to be gullible and ask for facts. I would also recommend this book because people pay a lot of money for something that is not real. I would also recommend this book to a friend because the stories are really funny.

  1. Love that this book shows you can't always believe everything you hear and read. It's always good to question things sometimes, even if someone famous says it:)

  2. I think that report was good. You made it very persuasive. I think I might just read it because of how tempting you made it for me to read.
