Tonight you should complete the first set of 19 problems from the trig packet.
Tomorrow we will switch things up and begin our study of the Inverse of Trigonometric Functions.
Tonight you should complete the first set of 19 problems from the trig packet.
Tomorrow we will switch things up and begin our study of the Inverse of Trigonometric Functions.
You did an awesome job learning how to Factor trinomial expressions in class today.
Please practice by factoring the following fifteen expressions tonight for homework:
Today in class we were introduced to the three trigonometric functions: Sine, Cosine, and Tangent.
Please complete the 4 practice problems beginning on page 7. If you missed class on Thursday or Friday you will want to read the packet carefully and do the example problems leading up to page 7.
11.5) 3, 4, 9, 16 - 18, 22 - 26, 35, 36, 38, 41, 42, 48
We are on track for our Chapter 11 Assessment to be held this Thursday, May 16.
Woot!
Today in class we reviewed the Pythagorean Theorem.
Now do these homework problems!
11.4) 9 - 11, 17 - 19, 36.
Today in class we began to study how to solve equations with a square root.
Be very careful solving these equations. You might solve the equation, do everything correct, yet come up with an extraneous solution. The only way to find out is by plugging your solution back into the original equation.
This is the first time this year when we had extraneous solutions that were not real world problems.
11.3) 3 - 8, 22 - 24, 29, 36.
Today in class we learned how to simplify radical expressions. Don't forget that an exponent of 2 is always canceled out by a radical.
11.2) 3 - 39.
Skip 23 and 25.
Please simplify the following radicals tonight for homework: 11.2) 3 - 10 and 24.
We will complete this lesson, and have a larger assignment, tomorrow night!
The standard form of a radical function is y =a√(x - h) + k.
11.1) 17 , 19, 23, 25, 30 - 38 All, 40, 48.
Below is a copy of Friday's worksheet with the attached answer key.
Don't forget to come in early on Monday to review for the Third Parabola Quiz.
