Art in Action

This Friday (April 19) we have Art and Action.

This year the things we will be doing are airbrush, improv, pastry decorating, pottery, printmaking, rock sculptures, recycled art, animal portraits, electronic silk screening and a building project.

The new ones that we didn’t have last year are improv, pastry decorating, printmaking, rock sculptures, recycled art and electronic silk screening. It will be so cool to see what these are like!

We also discuss Art in Action, the 5th grade poetry slam, Suzuki strings, weather and sports. The Third Grade Program

The Third Grade Program is about the pioneers and when they traveled west to Oregon. They have lots of fast paced songs and some slow paced songs.There is also a hunting song called Who killed Cock Robin and lots of other versions.There is lots of songs. At the end there is square dancing.You do it at gym.For your parts you get to choose them. This goes to you Second graders. When you are in 3rd grade you will get to choose your part.

The orchestra students from Avoca West and Marie Murphy wowed the students and staff with their amazing performance this morning. Mr. Palcer, Ms. Rudzinski, and Ms. Weismehl entertained the audience with their kazoos while Mrs. Stotz played every instrument she could find!
