May 22th is set for the 4th and 5th grade Olympics. 5th grade Olympics will start at 9:00am and the 4th grade Olympics will start at 12:50pm.
May 29th is set for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade Field Day. Students will participate in many fun events starting at 12:50pm

Spring Running Club Parents:
if your child is participating in Avoca West Running Club this spring, the club kicks off on Tuesday, April 3rd at 3pm. Please send your child to school with a healthy after-school snack and water bottle.
Just a reminder that this club is not a sports club. The kids will be running and participating in various cardiovascular exercises. If your child no longer wants to participate please let Ms. Koerber or Mr. Brennan know as we have a waiting list for eager students who would love the opportunity to get into the club. Thanks!

Fall Vikings Club has come to an end. We had a very successful turn out and some great weather to add to it. Thanks to all the students that participated. We will be back for another session after spring break.

Now that the weather is changing and getting a little cooler, it is very important to dress appropriately for class. We will be outside for class as much as we can. Students should bring hats, gloves and sweatshirts if they think they might be cold. It is also a good idea to keep an extra pair of socks in their locker just in case.

The PE teachers would like to thank all of the parent volunteers who helped with the fourth and fifth grade Olympics, Jelly Bean Day, and the Kindergarten Zoolympics. Without your help these days would not be as successful as they are. Thanks again for making these days extra special for all of the kids.
