All students receive homework on a regular basis in order to reinforce, review, study, and extend work completed in class. Homework helps students learn to work independently, organize time, use good study skills, and develop self-discipline. It is the students’ responsibility to complete all homework as assigned and submit it when it is due. The average homework time for a third grader is approximately 30 minutes per night, although time may vary to meet the individual needs of the students.
