Students receive homework on a regular basis in order to reinforce, review, study and extend work done in class. Homework helps students learn to work independently, organize time, use good study skills, and develop self-discipline. It is the students’ responsibility to complete all homework as assigned and submit to their teachers when it is due. The average homework time for a fifth grader is approximately one hour although time may vary due to students’ ability and investment.
