The recommended calculator for an eighth grade math student is the TI-Nspire CAS Handheld with Touchpad (it’s BLACK). You will have to avoid similar ones that are either navy blue or white, as even though they are a Touchpad, they do not have the CAS program. Also, you want to avoid any version that says “Clickpad.” This calculator is also required for math classes at New Trier High School.
