Dodgeball Event-This Friday! 6pm-9pm

This Friday March 1st, Marie Murphy will be holding our annual Dodgeball event!  All students at Marie Murphy are welcome and fun will be had by all.  Hopefully your child has already shared details about the event, but in case they haven’t please read on…
Teams of 6-9 can be formed, the only limitation is that teams must be of the same gender.  Students of any grade can be on a team, but no co-ed teams.  If your child is not currently on a team, they can come and join the fun and can be put in open slots on teams.  There is no pressure, it is meant to be a night of activities and fun!  All students must register when they come in and can determine from there if they would like to play.  The registration cost is $10/player.
There will be prizes awarded at the end of the night for teams with most wins and teams with best designed t-shirts.  If you child, or child’s team did not create a team t-shirt, please have them wear a white t-shirt that can be creatively designed on at the event.
We will have food available for purchase at the event, with a “meal deal” of a hot dog, chips and a drink for $3.  All items and additional goodies (including ice cream bars) will be available for purchase ala carte as well.
Lastly, we will be having a raffle at the event.  We have 9 great items that we have already begun selling tickets for.  Each Raffle item will have it’s own ticket box.  Raffle tickets are $1/ticket/chance to win!  Your child can put as many tickets as they would like into the box for the items they want, in order to increase their chances to win!  Winners of items do not have to be present at the event to win.  Our Raffle items are below:
  • Signed Blackhawks Hockey Stick
  • 4 Cubs tickets to game on May 31st (day game)
  • Manicure/Nail Basket – worth over $100
  • 10 Pound Toblerone Candy Bar
  • Assorted Candy Basket
  • Pool Party at Middlefork Tennis Club for winner and entire homeroom – during school on May 30th
  • Lunch with Mr Palcer for winner and 2 friends
  • $100 Gift Certificate to Runners Edge
  • “Eat Your Heart Out” Basket – $20 gift cards from each:  Subway, Five Guys, Panda Express and Irvings Hot Dogs
We would love to see everyone’s child at the event.  It will be a night of friendly competition and a lot of fun!!  Should you have any questions regarding the event, please contact Christin Thomas at 312 961 7723.
