Because of the heat wave expected today and tomorrow, it seems prudent to move through tonight’s Open House program at a quicker pace than previously posted. Please refer to the revised time schedule below!

We also encourage you to dress very informally, keeping comfort the highest priority. Be mindful that the ITC will serve as a great cooling center, with chilled beverages being provided throughout the evening in order to hydrate and help you to endure the heat.

Dear Parents/Guardians:

You are cordially invited to attend our Open House program this evening (Thursday, September 1, 2011). You will have the opportunity to move through your child’s schedule and meet all his/her teachers. While in your child’s first-period class, you will hear a brief, but very important, presentation from our room mothers.

A copy of your child’s schedule will be made available to you just after you walk in the front doors, which you will need in order to navigate throughout the evening.

Beginning in the main gym, the format for the evening will look something like this:

We are eager to share information with you concerning all of our programs and extra-curricular activities–and we know this is going to be a great school year for all students, as there are so many new and exciting adventures that lie ahead.

The final week of the school year is fast approaching and the 8th graders are anxious to graduate!  This year our graduation ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 7 at 7:30 PM in the Marie Murphy Gymnasium.  As always, if you are unable to attend in person, we will be streaming the program live online.

Congratulations goes out to the entire Science Olympiad team and all the coaches for an incredible finish to the season!  This past weekend at the national competition at the University of Wisconsin, the team took more medals for events then they ever have before.  The evening concluded with the awards ceremony where they were shocked to find out that of all the schools in the competition they took second!  Congratulations and thank you Ms Wright, Mr. Gravagna, Mr. Persino, and Mr. Ogden for all of the hard work you have put into this season.
