Class: Enjoying Ebooks for your young children and grandchildren & Usborne book fair!
Date: Thursday, May 17th
Time: 5:30-6:30 pm
Location: Avoca West Elementary School, Computer Lab (235 Beech Dr., Glenview)
Description: Do you have preschool-3rd grade children or grandchildren that enjoy both books and technology? Come and learn how to access and use our online subscriptions to Tumblebooks, Bookflix, Follettshelf, and Sylvan Dell ebooks! We will also have our spring book fair open from 5:30-7:30 in the front hallway. Browse/shop the online fair between 5/3-5/30 at www.UBAH.com/BF52541!

*If you have an iphone &/or ipad, bring it along to install and experience the ebook apps! (This class is for adults only. You will learn how to access the sites and bring all the fun home to the little ones you love!)

Class: Flickr-Online Phone Sharing and Editing!
Date: Monday, May 21st
Time: 6:00-7:00 pm
Location: Avoca West Elementary School, Computer Lab (235 Beech Dr., Glenview)
Description: Do you want to share photos with friends and family? Come and get started with http://www.flickr.com/. You can upload and store pictures here for free, as well as share them. You can choose to share them with the world, or only people that you specify. Editing pictures here is also easy to do. Come and learn a free online tool for sharing your precious memories.

*Please go to flickr.com and sign up for a free account before class. Feel free to bring some digital pictures files to use in our session. You can bring them in on a flash drive or on a cd.

Class: Skype-Free Video and Voice Calls using your computer!

Description: Come and learn how to use Skype to keep in touch with friends and family! It is a free application that you can use to video chat with your friends and family. We will learn how to use Skype and practice. Come and join the fun!

Class: Create Your Own Homepage – Information at Your Fingertips with iGoogle
Date: Tuesday, May 22
Time: 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Description: Create a customized homepage using iGoogle. Do you want to see CNN news, your email, and a daily recipe as soon as you open your browser? iGoogle can make that happen. Immediately have access to what is important to you. Add gadgets and widgets that will make the most of your time on the web and help you get organized.

*Attendees should have a gmail or google account before attending the class. Bring your sign-in information with you to class.

Class: Make Browsing A Breeze with Google Chrome
Date: Wednesday May 30th
Time: 6:30-8:00 pm

Description: It’s time to make the switch from Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari to Google Chrome! The Google Chrome internet browser allows for easy customization, it updates automatically and provides you with lightning fast search results. In this class you will learn how the Google Chrome Internet browser can speed up your search experience, boost your productivity and provide endless hours of fun!

**Note: To use all of the features of Chrome you will need a Google account. If possible please sign up ahead of time by at www.google.com. Click “Sign In” and then “Create An Account for Free”.
