Popular Children’s Author Visits Marie Murphy School

Award-winning children’s author Jordan Sonnenblick recently spent an afternoon visiting with the students at Marie Murphy School in Wilmette.  During his visit, he led a writer’s workshop for 35 students as well as two group presentations: One for 5th/6th graders and the other for 7th/8th graders.  Some of Mr. Sonnenblick’s popular books include “Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie,” “Notes from the Midnight Driver,” “After Ever After” and “Zen and the Art of Faking it.”  Marie Murphy School ITC Director Carrie Stotz said, “I am so grateful to the Avoca Parents’ and Teachers’ Council for sponsoring this incredible opportunity for our students.  Jordan Sonnenblick is one of their favorite authors and mine!”
