Hi, this is the Roots and Shoots Club at Marie Murphy School. Root & Shoots consists of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. It has been in existence for five years. We are a thoughtful group of environmentally conscious people. We lead our school in service projects that meet the needs of our local and national community. We usually have about 3 projects each year. We focus on 3 categories of service designated by the National Roots and Shoots Organization: human community, animals, and the environment. We meet about twice a month. Marie Murphy isn’t the only school that has Roots and Shoots Club; schools all around the world try everyday to keep this world clean. We always want to recruit people who want to avoid living in a dirty and disgusting place but love a beautiful and green world. We welcome committed, hardworking students to be part of this group.
