The 7th grade Study Skills class is about undertake an exciting adventure. Students are designing their own independent study projects linked to the Common Core Learning Standards. Over the next several weeks, students will be planning, implementing and assessing a project exploring a topic of their choosing. Some of the topics students are interested in include:

• sports management and representation (agency)
• music composition
• advanced robotics
• cardiac surgery
• the impact of sports on learning
• the structure of the Japanese language
• reptiles
• health
• improving voice in music
• military life
• the business of banking
• the history of Call of Duty/the history IN Call of Duty
• the history and creation of the NBA

Wow! That’s quite a list. What a fascinating group of people with wide ranging interests these students are!  If you know of any experts in any of these topics, please let me know. We’re clearly going to need some outside help!
