Elizabeth Weismehl is the General and Vocal Music teacher for grades one through five at Avoca West.  She has taught choral and general music as well as piano and voice in Illinois, Texas and Wisconsin.  In 2004-2005, Ms. Weismehl had the privilege of being Intern Conductor of the Toronto Children’s Chorus.   Ms. Weismehl has a Master’s degree in Music from Roosevelt University in Chicago and Bachelor’s degrees in Music Education and Performance from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.

When not in the classroom, Elizabeth pursues her love of performing as a classical singer.  She has performed with Camerata Singers of Lake Forest and the Chicago Master Singers.  She can even be seen in the 1997 Julia Roberts’ film, “My Best Friend’s Wedding”!

In addition to sharing her passion for music with others, Ms. Weismehl loves animals and is an avid traveler.
