Inclusion Assistants

Inclusion assistants are assistants who provide support to students with special needs. Avoca has a strong philosophy in fostering independence; therefore inclusion assistants work diligently to provide supports to students while allowing them to grow. Our inclusion assistants provide support to all students across various classrooms, based on student needs. Their role is determined by each child’s team and part of a student’s IEP. Roles of a inclusion assistant may include instructional support, preparation of specialized materials or modifications to assignments, and providing behavioral support.
