September 29, 2021 Avoca West Neighborhood Meeting

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Colleagues,
Please see the attached flier inviting you to a 'neighborhood meeting' on September 29th at 6 p.m. at Avoca West.
The Board of Education and I are excited to share with you information about an opportunity the School District has to work with the Glenview Park District to turn an acre of land at Avoca West into a nature park and path. This would mean that the Hunter House that sits on the school property would be demolished and a park put in its place.
The School District will work with the Park District to disseminate the meeting information to residents of the neighborhood who do not have students in our schools, as we want to share this opportunity with everyone in the neighborhood, answer any questions, and hear any concerns. I encourage you to share this flier and meeting information with any resident in the immediate Avoca West neighborhood.
The flier has more specifics of the meeting, and I look forward to sharing with those in attendance the details of this great opportunity for our schools and neighborhood.
