HELP! Silent Auction Donation Drive
The 2021 Silent Auction Fundraiser is still going on and the Fundraising committee needs your help! Do you or someone you know own a business, hold tickets or memberships, or have merchandise/gift certificates/services/good that you are willing to donate? Your donation will go a long way in this auction - the funds help purchase educational supplies, school equipment and support school events for Avoca Elementary and Marie Murphy Middle School. It is also great exposure for local businesses, especially during COVID! For acceptable donations, donation forms, and all other inquiries, please email avocasilentauction@gmail.com or click below.

Spring Play Informational Meeting
A Spring Play Informational Meeting will be held on Monday, March 1, at 3:00pm for any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade Marie Murphy student interested in learning more about the upcoming spring play, “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” auditions. The meeting will discuss the play itself (including story and characters), rehearsal schedule, audition details, and commitment requirements. It is very important for any student wanting to audition to attend this meeting to get access to required forms and vital information. Interested students need to email Ms. Janssen at janssenk@avoca37.org to request the Zoom link for the meeting.
Plugged in Reading Event
Join Avoca's Technology Integration Specialist, Kelli Lane as she hosts a virtual community night on March 3, 2021 from 6-7pm, focusing on how families can access eBooks and audiobooks. To attend, either scan the QR Code in the flyer or via this Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/603696271.
8th Grade Annual Fundraiser
Due to COVID, The 8th Grade Graduation Committee and Marie Murphy are not able to fundraise as they have in past years. As a way to generate funds without compromising safety, the 8th Grade Graduation Committee has created a GoFundMe page where any parent or community member can make a donation to support graduation activities for the Class of 2021. If you are interested in supporting the committee and our soon-to-be Marie Murphy graduates, please click below! Thank you for your support.

Anderson's Annual Book Fair
The Avoca PTC and Anderson's have teamed up to bring you the Online Book Fair! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Avoca PTC. Support our schools by participating and discover the best book selections and new releases from Anderson's. Choose to have your books delivered to school on Wednesday, March 24 or to your home.
