Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences

We understand the importance of open communication between teachers and parents, and these conferences provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's progress. To accommodate the varying needs of families, we will hold conferences on:

Wednesday, October 25 - In-person Conferences
Thursday, October 26 - Remote Conferences

October 25 is not only the date for conferences but also an important day for our community. We'll be hosting Open Houses for All in for Avoca 37 at both schools from 3-7 p.m. - an event where families can tour our school buildings and learn more about the district's options in addressing its finances and facilities. Stay tuned for more details regarding this exciting event!

We will be releasing the conference sign-up form on October 9. This form will allow you to select your preferred time slot and indicate whether you would like an in-person or remote conference.

8th Grade Car Wash Fundraiser
Thank you so much to all the volunteers who made the 8th-grade car wash so successful. We raised over $6,000! The funds will go towards the end-of-year celebration and a class gift! The biggest thank you goes to the kids who sold tons of tickets and worked for hours washing cars! It wouldn’t have been a success without you!

All In For Avoca 37 Canvassing - October 7
Are you passionate about the future of our community? Then it's time to get All In For Avoca 37! Our canvassing committee is dedicated to engaging the Avoca community and shaping the future of our school buildings.

Thank you to our many volunteers who went door to door this past weekend to foster meaningful connections between residents and invite the community to our upcoming October Open Houses!

Join us this weekend again and be part of the change. This will not be about pitching one option. You don’t have to "sell." This will be about encouraging community engagement and feedback. Work with a partner, knock on doors, and encourage residents to attend any one of our open houses. Kids are welcome. Coffee and donuts will be served. If you have any questions, email [email protected]

Sign up for the October 7 canvassing at http://bit.ly/48EHvZI to become eligible to win free tickets to Great America for a family of five!

Support Our Marie Murphy Staff
It's that time of the year when we come together as a community to collect funds for special winter and year-end on behalf of our students and families. It's an opportunity for us to give back to those who go above and beyond every day in shaping the lives of our children.

Last year, thanks to your generous contributions, we were able to provide over 60 MM staff members with heartfelt thank-you gifts! Each staff member received a $10 gift card, sweet treats, and personalized cards expressing our sincere appreciation for their hard work and dedication. We want to make this year just as memorable. We suggest an annual donation of $25 for each child you have at Marie Murphy.
